The printing process commonly used for corrugated cardboard boxes is flexographic printing.
This printing method uses water-based ink to print directly on corrugated cardboard and has the following characteristics:
1.It can be linked for production, including printing, slotting, creasing, boxing, bundling and other processes.
2.The text line draft is easy to make and suitable for printing text and simple graphics.
3.The stability of printing quality is not high, and the depth of ink color is difficult to control.
4.It has little impact on the strength of corrugated cardboard and is suitable for light pressure printing.
5.Low price, flexible version with high printing resistance, reusable, and relatively low ink price.
In addition, although offset printing and screen printing are also optional methods, flexographic printing has become the main choice for corrugated box printing due to its high efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and suitability for corrugated cardboard.
Carton boxes in below pictures are printed by offset printing, which is obviously different with water ink printing.
